Playboy Herschelle Gibbs Pops the Question

Former Proteas cricket player, Herschelle Gibbs, has popped the question to his girlfriend, Dana Németh.

“We’re engaged!” the couple shared via an Instagram post on Sunday, 18 June, accompanied by a video of the elaborate, ocean-side proposal set-up. “You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world,” the model added.

Friends and family were quick to show their support for the happy couple. “Congrats you two lovebirds… wishing you a journey of love, happiness and health,” fellow cricketer Vernon Philander commented on the post.

Gibbs – who currently has over 300 000 followers on Instagram – has a “bad boy” reputation in Mzansi for both his personal life and sports career. The 49-year-old Karachi Kings coach has been involved in several match-fixing scandals over the course of his career, as well as accusations of racism following an incident in Pakistan in 2007.

In his personal life, the athlete has proven to have a taste for the blondes, having several public relationships which ended under difficult circumstances, and having been married at least once before. According to reports, the star also has at least two children: a 27-year-old, and a four-year-old, who he is still paying child support for.
